- Policy on Organized Criminal Elements
Mitsubishi Jisho Investment Advisors, Inc. (MJIA) has established the following policy on organized crime syndicates, under which it works together with the Mitsubishi Estate Group to refuse any type of relationship with organized crime syndicates.
1.Taking Measures against Organized Crime by Mobilizing the Entire Company
The entirety of MJIA, from top management down, cohesively addresses any inappropriate demands from organized crime syndicates as it works to exclude such syndicates from all transactions.
2.Partnership with External Specialized Agencies
MJIA works to strengthen ties with police, attorneys, and other external specialized agencies to prepare to handle inappropriate demands from organized crime syndicates.
3.Refusal to Engage in Any Relationship, Including Business Transactions
MJIA refuses to engage in business transactions or any other type of relationship with organized crime syndicates. In the unlikely event that the company unknowingly enters into a relationship with an organized crime syndicate, the moment that suspicions arise that the counterparty is involved in organized crime, the company will terminate the relationship as quickly as possible.
4.Civil and Criminal Legal Action in Such Contingencies
MJIA will take legal action, both civil and criminal, upon receiving any inappropriate demands from organized crime syndicates.
5.Prohibition of Backroom Deals and Payouts
MJIA has a zero-tolerance policy on backroom deals with or payouts to organized crime syndicates.
